Samsung has announced two new NFC smartphones, the Wave M and Wave Y both of which run on its Bada operating system and Nokia announced that all its new phones will also feature the technology.  It seems like 2012 might be the year of NFC, identification, authorized objects, etc.  

On the Samsung site they see the first uses for NFC as:

- Getting information from Smart Posters.
- Setting up your wirelsess home or office with a touch.
- Get your bus payment done just by waving your NFC phone.
- Pay at super market just by a tap of your NFC phone.
- Share business card information.
- Print from camera just by holding close to printer.
- Use NFC phone as a event ticket.
